Stuart C. Maudlin brings over 30 years of business experience to Silent Auction Services, having started his first company – a software development and service bureau – in 1977. Stuart was most recently President and CEO of Auctus Development, a Houston-based auction strategy and game theory consultancy. Concurrently with Auctus he was also a Principal at CAP Resources, a boutique consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and management consulting for early-stage, high-growth companies. Stuart’s experience in the business world is not limited to strategy and auction; he has contributed his considerable intellect and talents in such areas as energy development, electronic commerce, and online information services for several prestigious firms such as SABRE Energy Network, Dynegy, and EnerNet Corporation.

Stuart received his BS in mathematics and computer science from Purdue University and has done graduate work at both Purdue and Rice. He also has taught in the Finance Department at the University of Houston's Bauer College of Business.

“The most rewarding aspect, the most fun part of this for me is seeing people spend more money than they thought they would and be delighted that they did so,” says Stuart. “At every event we are approached by guests who are impressed with the silent auction process and service we provide. After one event I was approached by a board member who said, “I see it and I still don’t believe it.” We had checked out the first guest less than five minutes after the auction closed and people noticed. That was a great compliment.”
